Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Harbor mobile application ("Harbor", "the app", "we", or "our"), operated by BookVitals APP SRL. By using Harbor, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Harbor is a wellness and recovery support application that provides a 30-day guided program with AI-powered mentor conversations, daily practices, and progress tracking. Harbor is designed to support your recovery journey alongside professional treatment.

2. Not Medical Advice

Harbor is not a substitute for professional medical treatment. The app does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. AI mentors are not licensed therapists, counselors, or medical professionals. If you are in crisis, contact a healthcare provider or call 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline).

You should not discontinue or modify any treatment plan based on information received through Harbor without consulting your healthcare provider.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use Harbor. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Accounts

You may use Harbor anonymously or create an account via Apple Sign-In or email. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may delete your account at any time through Settings > Account > Delete Account.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Harbor offers a free trial period and paid subscription plans. Subscription details:

Day 1 content is available free without a subscription.
Day 2 and beyond requires an active subscription or trial.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods. Refund requests should be directed to Apple.

6. AI-Powered Features

Harbor uses Claude (Anthropic) to generate AI mentor responses. By consenting to AI data sharing (prompted before your first chat), you acknowledge that:

Your chat messages and journey context are sent to Anthropic's servers for processing.
AI responses are generated and may not always be accurate or appropriate.
You can revoke AI data sharing consent at any time in Settings, which will disable the chat feature.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use Harbor for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to manipulate or abuse the AI chat system
Share your account credentials with others
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
Use the app to harm yourself or others

8. Content and Intellectual Property

All content in Harbor (mentor characters, video messages, guided practices, app design) is owned by BookVitals APP SRL or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content.

Your user-generated content (chat messages, journal entries, check-in responses) remains yours. By using Harbor, you grant us a limited license to store and process this content to provide the service.

9. Availability and Changes

We strive to keep Harbor available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Significant changes to these Terms will be communicated through the app.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BookVitals APP SRL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Harbor. Harbor is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for Harbor subscriptions in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Romania, except where prohibited by local law.
